Blind Test of HTC ads shows HTC One M9 beating iPhone 6

HTC has released a trio of new ads today to promote its 2015 flagship handset — the One M9. In the adverts, the company conducts a “blind test” where it pits the M9 against the iPhone 6 and the Galaxy S6.

In the first advert, HTC pits the One M9 against the Galaxy S6 in a race where users were required to open a series of apps, jump between them and click a selfie in between. The winner — obviously — was the One M9, though the users in the video thought that the winning phone was from Samsung or Apple.

In the second test, some visitors at Bondi Beach were required to take low-light selfies from two different phones, both of which were concealed in cases. In this “blind test,” the One M9 won against the iPhone 6 thanks to the superior performance of its front-facing UltraPixel camera.

The third blind test pitted the One M9’s BoomSound speaker against the single downward firing speaker on the iPhone 6. The winner, once again and without a doubt, was the HTC One M9.

The HTC One M9 is superior to the iPhone 6 in terms of speakers and front-facing camera, but in almost every other department, the iPhone 6 — despite being released six months before the One M9 — is better than it.
Do you agree with HTC that the One M9 is better than the iPhone 6?
