Apple may allow on transferring data from iPhone to Android phone as EU careers demanded

ios-7-vs-android
If sources of The Telegraph are to be believed, mobile operators in the EU are mounting pressure on Apple to make the process of transferring their data from an iPhone to an Android device easier.
As per a “senior industry source”, Apple has already agreed to the demands of operators and will develop a simple tool to allow customers to transfer their data from an iPhone to an Android device.
Operators believe that the lack of a data transfer tool can act as a potential deterrent for technologically challenged customers from leaving Apple’s ecosystem. This also gives Apple an upper hand in negotiations over them, which the operators are looking to nullify.
Apple already offers a tool for iPhone owners to easily import their contacts, messages and photos from an Android device to an iPhone. However, the ‘Move to iOS’ app cannot transfer data from an iPhone to an Android device.
Most Android devices nowadays already come with a built-in tool to transfer data like contacts, messages and photos from an iPhone, so the argument from EU operators that the lack of a switching tool from Apple is forcing consumers to stick with its ecosystem makes little sense to me.
Has the lack of an official tool from Apple to transfer your data from an iPhone to an Android device ever ‘forced’ you to buy a new iPhone instead of any other Android smartphone?
