Apple TV is just $69 - price cut from $99



Apple TV is now only $69 instead of $99 as announced by  Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, during the company’s “Spring Forward” media event on Monday. He is also announced that HBO Now coming exclusively to the Apple TV in April.

        “We would like to make it accessible to more people,” Tim Cook mentioned on the event.

 It looks like Apple is making a bigger commitment to Apple TV. HBO Now, which got stage time during the media event, will cost $14.99 a month and include HBO’s entire catalog of TV and movie content — no cable subscription required.

Next iPhone could be even thinner and lighter thanks to smaller LED backlighting chips

In its never-ending quest of engineering ever thinner and lighter devices, Apple is said to use smaller LED backlighting chips that could, at least theoretically, make the next iPhone(s)—you guessed right— smaller and lighter. Citing a TrendForce report, DigiTimes said Tuesday that next-generation ‘iPhone 6s’ and ‘iPhone 6s Plus’ will adopt smaller LED chips for the display’s backlight unit. The new chips reportedly measure three mm wide, 0.85mm tall and 0.4mm deep versus the 3.0mm x 0.85mm x 0.6mm chips used in the present-generation iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices. Japan-based Nichia and Toyoda Gose will allegedly supply these LED backlight chips for the upcoming iPhones. “As such 0.4t LED chips are smaller with brightness ten percent lower than 0.6t ones, the backlight unit may need to use 2-3 more chips to reach the same total brightness,” reads the report. Google launches YouTube Kids app for iOS; US only for now

As a report had indicated last week , Google has gone ahead and unveiled a YouTube app for kids called YouTube Kids. Its the first product that Google has built from the ground up for kids that is aimed at making it safer and easier for your little ones to browse and watch videos on topics they want.  The app has been designed keeping kids in mind and comes with large images, bold icons and bigger buttons to allow for easier navigation. Additionally, it features voice control, just in case your child prefers searching for videos by voice commands rather than typing on the search bar YouTube Kids only provides access to four different categories of videos that are suited for childrens: Shows, Music, Learning and Explore.
