Star Wars wallpapers for iPhone and iPad

By Jim Gresham, Apr 20, 2015

Star Wars Celebration ends today after a lot of stirrings in the Force. During the previous few days, both the newest Episode VII and Battlefront trailers were publicly released. Panels of cast members shared stories and hopes for the future, including classic cast members from Luke to Chewie to Leia and even the newest droid BB-8. Naturally, thousands of fans flocked to Anaheim for the occasion. If you want to follow along with the last day, make sure to download the official Star Wars Celebration app for either iPad or iPhone.
Following the renewed excitement for Star Wars after the event, we compiled a small list of Star Wars wallpapers. We have never highlighted Star Wars wallpapers in a past Wallpapers of the Week post for a simple reason: there are way to many to choose from. Consequently, this post is in no way an attempt to provide access to all of the best Star Wars wallpapers ever created. Merely, this post is a single entry in the much larger world of Star Wars walls.

Star Wars wallpapers

To re-iterate, this is by no means an attempt to conclusively provide download links to the best Star Wars wallpapers. If this proves to be a topic of intense interest, we can sprinkle in more wallpapers as we proceed. The following images are in the sizes we were able to find. Consequently, there is not always access to both iPhone and iPad sizes.

Showtime’s standalone streaming service is launching on Apple TV for $10.99 month

Image
In April, HBO launched Now, a brand new standalone streaming service that allows people to access the provider’s content on multiple devices, all without needing a cable subscription. While it’s now expected that Apple will not be debuting its own subscription TV service at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, that doesn’t mean there might not be any announcements regarding new subscription services focused on TV content to be talked about at the event. According to a new report, CBS is mulling over the idea of launching its Showtime standalone streaming service exclusively on Apple TV. The report, which comes today from  Variety , indicates that the CBS parent company is putting the final touches on the streaming service, and that it could actually be announced later today, if not at the latest by Thursday of this week. CBS apparently wants Apple and the Apple TV to be the exclusive launch partner and platform, but that, according to “industry sources,” CBS i...

Microsoft’s Outlook second update for iOS brings IMAP support and more

Image
Less than three weeks after it was initially launched on the App Store, Microsoft has started rolling out the second update for its Outlook app for iOS.  The update bumps the version number to 1.0.4 and adds the much requested IMAP support to the app, which makes it compatible with a wider number of email service providers. Additionally, the update also adds support for PIN enforcement policies set by server administrators and improves accessibility. It was only last week that Microsoft had rolled out the first update for its Outlook app that added support for advanced account settings and the ability to disable emails being grouped as conversation. While not a major update, the support for IMAP based email accounts in itself will allow more people to switch to Outlook as their primary email app on their iPhone or iPad. I have already switched over to the Outlook app as my default email client on my iPhone and iPad because of its integration with calendars ...

‘iPhone 6c’ said to feature 2GB of RAM and larger battery than iPhone 5s

Image
The “iPhone 6c” is about as mythical as the “iPhone 7” at this point, but if rumors are any indication of future plans, then Apple must be gearing up for another small iPhone. The latest report is from  MyDrivers , and initially surfaced from  Gadgetz Arena . In it, unnamed sources reportedly tied to Foxconn state that there will be plenty of changes to the iPhone 6c when compared to previous generations of the iPhone, including the iPhone 5s. While the iPhone 6c will supposedly feature the same size screen as the iPhone 5s, measured in at 4 inches, a set of key differences will help it stand out next year. That includes an increase to not only the battery, but also available RAM under the hood. The report indicates that the iPhone 6c’s battery will be measured in at 1642mAh, which is an uptick from the iPhone 5s’ battery measured in at 1570mAh. On top of that, the iPhone 6c will supposedly boast 2GB of RAM — the same amount that’s present in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus...
