Apple highlights Accessibility Awareness Day with new section in App Store

Apple tends to launch new sections within its App Store quite frequently, especially when they’re trying to highlight something with the apps available within its store.
Now, to highlight the Global Accessibility Awareness Day, which “raises the profile of and introducing the topic of digital (web, software, mobile app/device etc.) accessibility and people with different disabilities to the broadest audience possible,” Apple has highlighted several different apps that aim to help the cause.
There are 15 different apps within the new section, ranging from use with the iPhone, the iPad and the Apple Watch as well. Apps like Instapaper are included, as well as Workflow and djay 2.

Microsoft’s Outlook second update for iOS brings IMAP support and more

Less than three weeks after it was initially launched on the App Store, Microsoft has started rolling out the second update for its Outlook app for iOS.  The update bumps the version number to 1.0.4 and adds the much requested IMAP support to the app, which makes it compatible with a wider number of email service providers. Additionally, the update also adds support for PIN enforcement policies set by server administrators and improves accessibility. It was only last week that Microsoft had rolled out the first update for its Outlook app that added support for advanced account settings and the ability to disable emails being grouped as conversation. While not a major update, the support for IMAP based email accounts in itself will allow more people to switch to Outlook as their primary email app on their iPhone or iPad. ‘iPhone 6c’ said to feature 2GB of RAM and larger battery than iPhone 5s

The “iPhone 6c” is about as mythical as the “iPhone 7” at this point, but if rumors are any indication of future plans, then Apple must be gearing up for another small iPhone. The latest report is from  MyDrivers , and initially surfaced from  Gadgetz Arena . In it, unnamed sources reportedly tied to Foxconn state that there will be plenty of changes to the iPhone 6c when compared to previous generations of the iPhone, including the iPhone 5s. While the iPhone 6c will supposedly feature the same size screen as the iPhone 5s, measured in at 4 inches, a set of key differences will help it stand out next year. That includes an increase to not only the battery, but also available RAM under the hood. The report indicates that the iPhone 6c’s battery will be measured in at 1642mAh, which is an uptick from the iPhone 5s’ battery measured in at 1570mAh.
