Microsoft’s Outlook second update for iOS brings IMAP support and more

Image
Less than three weeks after it was initially launched on the App Store, Microsoft has started rolling out the second update for its Outlook app for iOS.  The update bumps the version number to 1.0.4 and adds the much requested IMAP support to the app, which makes it compatible with a wider number of email service providers. CBS apparently wants Apple and the Apple TV to be the exclusive launch partner and platform, but that, according to “industry sources,” CBS i...

The new feature has a dedicated page at  Messenger.com , and it does exactly what one might think: it’s a dedicated page to access Facebook Messenger, and that’s it. The question, then, is why Facebook feels the need Messenger needs its own web page, considering Facebook users can already chat using Messenger from a web browser, thanks to just visiting their Facebook page. According to  Re/code , after speaking to a Facebook spokesperson, Messenger.com is meant to get rid of the distractions that the standard Facebook page can hand out in droves. When visiting Facebook, there’s plenty to look at, including profiles, the News Feed an whatever else. With Messenger.com, Facebook wants to provide a simple mess...
