iphone 6s featuring force touch is reportedly starts production by Apple

Image
If all things go as expected, later this year Apple is expected to introduce yet another member to the iPhone lineup. That device is expected to be called the iPhone 6s. Of course, that’s just one of the two hypothetical handsets, considering that Apple is more than likely going to introduce a follow-up to the iPhone 6 Plus as well. Now, according to a report from  Bloomberg , Apple has gone ahead and kicked off the manufacturing of the iPhone 6s, which the report states will indeed feature Force Touch. Force Touch was introduced with the Apple Watch last year, and allows for another level of interactivity with apps and other interface elements. Apple brought the technology to the new 12-inch Retina MacBook as well, along with the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro. This isn’t the first time that Force Touch has been mentioned alongside the next iPhone. In fact, it’s been a pretty common rumor/report since January of this year. In February, for instance, it was reported that Apple w

‘Activator’ updated to support iOS 8.3

Image
Ryan Petrich has released the beta version of Activator, one of the most popular jailbreak tweaks, for iOS 8.3. Activator  lets users assign custom actions in response to triggers like pressing the volume button, or gestures like a three finger pinch and so on. Please don’t install the default Activator package available on Cydia as it will put your device in safe mode. To install the beta version of Activator, you’ll have to add Ryan Petrich’s repo in Cydia. You can follow these instructions: Open Cydia and tap on the  Sources  tab. Tap on  Edit  on the left, and then tap on  Add  at the right. You’ll get an alert with a URL field. Enter “rpetri.ch/repo” (after the http://) and tap on  Add Source . Now Cydia will add the repo, and fetch packages from this repo. Now search for Activator from the Search tab, and install it. Like this post? Share it!

TaiG 2.1.2 Jailbreak tool officially released to fix Cydia Substrate on iOS 8.3

Image
TaiG team, the group of Chinese hackers, released the TaiG jailbreak tool for iOS 8.3 – iOS 8.1.3 yesterday. However, since Cydia Substrate wasn’t compatible with iOS 8.3, most of the jailbreak apps and tweaks were not working. TaiG has just released v2.1.2, a new version of their jailbreak tool, that addresses the issue with the Cydia Substrate, and several other bug fixes.   Since the Cydia Substrate was developed by Jay Freeman aka saurik, the founder of Cydia, we had assumed that he will release the update. But he had later clarified that TaiG will need to update the jailbreak kernel patch to fix the issue with Cydia Substrate. That’s exactly what they have done. Here’s the complete change log: Fixes problems of getting stuck at 20% and 60%, and  adaptate  for latest iTunes. Compatible with Cydia Substrate(Mobile Substrate). Corrects the blank Settings problem while matching Apple Watch with iDevice. Fix issues of UIcache. If you had problems jailbreaking your de

Some will change the way you multitask, others will help you be more productive, and some have been a long time coming. iPad multitasking Multitasking on the iPad is going to get a whole lot better with iOS 9. Apple has made a number of improvements that’ll help you be more productive and get more done on your device — one of the most significant of which is adding the ability to run two apps side-by-side. There are two ways to do this. Slide Over If you’re browsing the web in Safari and you want to take down some Notes without leaving the article you’re reading, or you want to send someone an iMessage while you’re browsing photo albums, you can now swipe in from the right side of your device to active Slide Over. In Slide Over, you can use another app in a slide-out wind

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 leaks out ahead of its official debut

Image
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 has been revealed ahead of its official debut, courtesy of the FCC. The 8-inch device was recently certified by the FCC, which may suggest its launch is getting close. The images published by the FCC confirm the Galaxy Tab S2’s 4:3 aspect ratio — the same as the iPad’s — as well as its design. The device looks a lot like a giant Galaxy Note or Galaxy Mega, with what appears to be a soft-touch plastic back. Based on what we’ve been expecting from the Galaxy Tab S2 lineup, these images are somewhat disappointing. Recent leaks promised a premium design much like that of the Galaxy S6, with an aluminum frame sandwiched between glass. Nevertheless, the Galaxy Tab S2 is expected to be a very impressive tablet under the hood.  SamMobile   reports that we can look forward to a Super AMOLED display with 2048×1536 resolution, Samsung’s Exynos 5433 processor, 3GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera. The S2 is also expected to measure just 5.4mm thin

Beautiful dark red theme for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge

Image
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge come with a new version of TouchWiz that is lighter, faster and looks better than previous versions of the skin. Additionally, Samsung has also included a theme store to allow users to customise the look of the handset according to their liking. On paper, Samsung’s theme store sounds like a great idea, but the company has faltered greatly on its execution. The theme store is filled with themes that look like they have been made by a 5-year old kid. It was only recently that Samsung selected certain third-party developers to publish their themes on the theme store, but any decent theme from these developers is yet to be released. Thankfully for Galaxy S6 and S6 edge owners, XDA recognised themer  HS  has made a beautiful dark red theme for the handset. The theme is not available for download through the theme store, but can still be installed and applied easily without root access. The developer has made sure to theme almost

Apple changes Passbook name as Wallet

Image
During its WWDC conference today, Apple announced that it has decided to change the name of its stock iOS app Passbook to Wallet. The move makes sense, considering that last fall it took over Apple Pay duties, and soon it will be getting store and reward cards. That’s right, you can now add store and rewards cards from retailers and restaurants. Kohl’s, Walgreens, Dunkin Donuts are all apparently on board for the launch of this initiative, and it sounds like Apple is talking to a number of other high profile partners.

Chrome for Android updated with faster ways to search with just a tap

Image
Chrome for Android continues to get better, as Google has just showcased a brand new feature for the browser that should make searching even faster. This new feature, what’s called “Tap to Search,” is similar to the showcase of Google Now on Tap, which the company unveiled at this year’s I/O conference in May. It’s similar due to the feature’s ability to pay attention to context, and use the power of Google to look up exactly what you were looking for just based on one word. As Google demonstrates in the quick showcase, tapping on the word “America” while reading an article about the upcoming film,  Captain America: Civil War , Tap to Search will find information on the movie, and bring up relevant information as such. That includes release info, cast, and more. The information will be presented in a bottom drawer that can be drawn upwards to read more about what was searched for. Google says the feature will be rolled out into Chrome for Android over the next few days, so kee

As you know, Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference kicks off today with a State of the Union-like keynote address. WWDC is the most important event for the Apple community as it gives a sneak peak at how the firm plans to woo app developers in the year. The 26th summer event runs from June 8 through June 12 at San Francisco’s Moscone West, where CEO Tim Cook will share the stage Monday morning along with other company executives to deliver latest advances concerning iOS, OS X and Watch OS platforms. Apple will be providing a live stream through the Apple Events webpage on its website, using the new familiar weblog-like layout. Although the official live stream is limited to Mac, iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Apple TV devices, you can enjoy it on other platforms, too.
